How It Started to the Present Day

For my sixth birthday my mom made me and my doll a matching Jumper and I was thrilled!! I loved to have matching clothes for me and my doll - especially in my favorite colors and homemade. A couple years later my mom and I made a Indian dress together. I then made a pioneer dress for myself and started experimenting with other periods, sizes, easier and harder patterns......Experiment, experiment, experiment....

Over time, through word of mouth, I began making dresses for friends who were pleased with my work and told their friends who told their friends!! On and on....

In 2008, Our Chosen Heritage Clothier ( then called Crafty Sisters 4 HIM), participated in the LEAH convention's Young Entrepreneurs program in upstate NY. We were awarded 2nd place, given a free boot, and were asked to speak. This opportunity was a huge blessing and we were able to meet many new people.

Since then we have moved our business from NY to NC and have had several opportunity's to participate in the community. In 2009, we had the opportunity to speak to the eighth graders in our local town and an adjoining town about entrepreneurship at the public schools.

Over the fall and winter I displayed some clothing in a local shop on West Main St, Pilot Mountain.

I no longer have my clothes displayed there but am planning to participate in several craft shows this upcoming year.
